My Name is Ann O'Donnell and I'm the "Queen Mum" of the Rosa Capellas Chapter 21546 of the Red Hat Society!

This is a picture of my me with my mom
"The Red Hat Society exists to prove there is fun after fifty for women of all walks of life. We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life and, since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next." (a quote from Exalted Queen Mother, Sue Ellen Cooper)
There are over 40 Rosa Capellas in our Chapter which is a group of Red Hatters and Pink Hatters who gather together at least once a month for "Fun & Friendship", at times we have No Hatters with us too!
"Red Hatters" are over 50, "Pink Hatters" are under 50, "No Hatters" are ladies who either forget to keep their hats on, they're ladies who cannot find an open chapter to join, or they may be ladies who like to have fun but are not yet ready to wear a hat to show just how fun loving they really are.
Queen Mum has reluctantly closed our chapter to new members due to its present size but I try to plan events that are open to other Red Hat Chapters and to No Hatters as well. One of my biggest pleasures in life is to see other people enjoying themselves
Now have you heard of a "Purple Hatter"?
When someone is celebrating their birthday, they can wear a Purple Hat anytime during their birthday month ... but ... If you are a Queen Mum you can wear a Purple Hat at anytime during the year.
I just love being Queen Mum because I have lots of choices, I can choose to wear either a Red Hat or a Purple Hat and I may even wear a Pink Hat when I'm feeling really young, however, when I choose to feel like Royalty, I'll wear my crown!
